SOUTHERN SEAFOOD NACHOS

Grab a Margarita because we have the perfect nachos for you!  With three layers of chips, queso, shrimp and southern toppings, these nachos are better than any restaurant. The key to these nachos is our Spicy Crab Queso made with Big T Spicy Crab Dip. It gives your standard queso a burst of Lowcountry flavor that’s to die for on our Southern Shrimp Nachos. Nachos at home are the perfect snack any day of the week!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag tortilla chips

  • 1 cup cooked black eye peas

  • 1 cup cooked corn kernels

  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, sliced in half

  • 1 pound shrimp, cooked and peeled

  • Spicy Crab Queso (made with Big T Premium Spicy Crab Dip)

  • 1 cup shredded pepperjack cheese

  • 1/4 cup red onion, minced

  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves, chopped

  • 1 jalapeno, diced

  • Sour cream, for serving

  • Salsa, for serving

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Place a thin layer of chips in a large cast iron skillet or on a sheet pan.

  3. Top the chips with 1/3 of the peas, corn, tomatoes, shrimp and pepperjack cheese. Drizzle with 1/3 of the queso.

  4. Repeat two more times to make 3 layers of chips and nachos.

  5. Place in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until the chips begin to toast and the queso is hot and bubbly.

  6. Remove from the oven and top with the cilantro, red onion and jalapeños.

  7. Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
