Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon dried onion
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon pepper
4 ounces Big T Coastal Provisions Crab Dip
Melted butter
4 brioche or hamburger buns
8 slices cooked bacon
Butter lettuce leaves
Sliced tomato
Sliced red onion
Pickle slices
Steps
Place ground beef in a bowl. Sprinkle the dried onion, salt, garlic powder and pepper all over the meat. Use your hands to gently combine the meat and the seasonings.
Form the ground beef mixture into 4 patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Press your thumb in the middle of each burger to prevent it from bulging while cooking.
*Tip: Use an old Big T container to form the patties. Use the container to make up to an 8-ounce burger patty (1/2 pound), and/or use the lid for a patty up to 2-3 ounces.
Grill or pan fry burgers on both sides for about 5 minutes, until burgers have an internal temperature of 110 degrees F.
Top each burger with 1 ounce of Big T Crab Dip, and spread evenly.
Close the lid of the grill or cover the pan, and continue cooking for a few minutes longer, until the crab dip is melting and burgers are at desired temperature (125 degrees F for medium-rare and 135 degrees F for medium). Remove burgers and set aside on a plate.
Brush the buns with a little melted butter, and lightly toast. Transfer to a cutting board. Top the bottom buns with the lettuce, tomato, onion and bacon. Top with a burger patty and some pickle slices. Serve immediately.
